The senior on the stage

It was 2013…

My first few weeks at Thapar University, sitting at the last bench, I was waiting patiently, excited to listen to one of our seniors from 4th year who was General Secretary of IETE Society in our college and who recently cracked campus placement in San Disk.

I vividly remember attending the session of this senior and was just amazed by his way of speaking in front of the audience and candidly sharing his personal experience of the interview.

I being a shy person, had never done public speaking in my entire school life until then, imagined myself speaking one day like him in my final year of college in front of my juniors to provide guidance just like him. Luckily, that happened multiple times until I reached my final year!

Today, 10 years have passed since that day in the lecture hall of 2013, and I recently had the privilege of reconnecting with Naman Rastogi sir thanking him for being my very first inspiration when I joined my alma mater.

If anybody ask me what my alma mater has given me - I would say it’s the bond with people like Naman sir. It was amazing interacting with you sir and looking forward to collaborating on interesting projects in life going forward…
